Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-Husband Ordered to Return Money Taken from Singer

Divorces can be challenging, especially when there is a division of assets. Kelly Clarkson is far too familiar with this. Following her divorce from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, she experienced financial difficulties. However, there’s excellent news now.

After getting married in 2013, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock split in 2021. The singer and her ex-husband have been embroiled in a legal dispute ever since. Yesterday, she finally managed to come to a decision.

Moreover, Blackstock managed her during their marriage and took a fee from Clarkson. It has now come to light that he embezzled a substantial sum of money from her. After looking into the situation, a labor commissioner from California concluded that Blackstock had overcharged her for commissions. As a result, he was mandated to reimburse the Grammy winner for over $2,641,374.

However, Blackstock is finding it difficult to accept this choice. He is getting ready to appeal the court’s decision.

Court records state that Blackstock performed a variety of dubious tasks for his ex-wife, including setting up jobs and conducting transactions. Agreements for the Billboard Music Awards, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Wayfair, and “The Voice” were among the projects that were reached. Talent agencies, not managers, ought to be in charge of matching their customers with jobs, according to the labor commissioner. There may be other exceptions, but this was not one.

Blackstock is now entitled to $1,983,155.70 from Kelly Clarkson for her work on “The Voice,” $208,125 from Norwegian Cruise Lines for her labor, $450,000 from Wayfair, and $93.30 for her three times hosting the Billboard Music Awards, according to the court’s decision.

Kelly also requested payment for her work on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” but the court decided in Blackstock’s favor in that case.

In March 2022, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock eventually concluded their divorce. In addition, ownership of their joint Montana property and custody of their two children were at issue in the court case. Kelly relocated to New York City for a while in order to concentrate on starting over after her divorce.

Her album “Chemistry,” which she released, was inspired by her own experiences. Despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, Kelly stated that she was happy being alone at the moment and had no immediate intentions to begin dating.

It can be difficult to start over, particularly if you thought you would be with someone forever but ended up divorcing them. We wish Kelly Clarkson tremendous success in everything that she does. Given that she has recently encountered several legal issues, her supporters are pleased with the ruling.
